TitleStonehaven Burgh: Petition and Complaint the Procurator Fiscal against John Mowat
DescriptionIn two parts. 1. Petition states that John Mowat, Pensioner and Shoemaker in Stonehaven, who occupied part of the upper flat of a house there, whch formerly belonged to the deceased Miss Janet Falconer, the lower part is occupied by John Gardener also Pensioner in Stonehaven. Mowat, who was frequently drunk, was in the practice of annoying and disturbing the peace and quietness of his neighbour John Gardener and his family by dancing and jumping on the floor of the room occupied by him, and quarrelling and fighting with his wife. Gardener warned Mowat to cease and Mowat shouted verbal abuse and threatened him with personal violence. Mowat guilty of breaching the peace. 2.
