Administrative HistoryDeeside District comprised the following parishes Aboyne & Glentanar, Birse, Coull, Crathie & Braemar, Kincardine O'Neil, Logie Coldstone, Lumphanan, Tarland, and Glenmuick, Tullich & Glengairn. As part of its functions, Deeside District Committee and Council also had responsibility for the management of the various special districts in its geographical area.

It was transferred to Kincardine and Deeside District Council in 1975 and has since returned to the new Aberdeenshire Council, April 1996.
