Administrative History | Public Assistance Area 21 covered the parishes of Clatt, Kennethmont, Gartly and Rhyne, and was administered by a Public Assistance Officer at Kennethmont. Public Assistance Area 22 covered the parishes of Cairnie, Drumblade, Forgue, Glass and the burgh of Huntly, with a Public Assistance Officer at Huntly. They were both overseen by Public Assistance Committee 15 (Strathbogie), which was initially the Huntly District Public Assistance Committee. This split into sub-committees for Cairnie and Glass, Drumblade and Forgue, Gartly and Rhynie, and Huntly, before reforming as a District, and became the Strathbogie Area Public Assistance Committee in March 1932. In April 1939 Area 21 was abolished, with the parishes of Clatt and Kennethmont transferred to Area 10 (Garioch) and Gartly and Rhynie to Area 22. |
