| Administrative History | Public Assistance Area 4 covered the burgh of Peterhead, and was administered jointly with Area 5 (Longside), with one shared Public Assistance Officer. It was overseen by Public Assistance Area Committee 4. Its office was at Peterhead.
When the Public Assistance Areas were rearranged in 1946/7, Area 4, along with area 5 and 6, became part of Area 2 (Peterhead), under Sub-Committee 1. See AC/3/15 for the records of the other sub-committees of the new Area 2. |
