Administrative History | Public Assistance in the county parishes surrounding the city of Aberdeen was split into three areas or districts, overseen by one Public Assistance Committee (Committee 13) as the Aberdeen Suburban Area. The three areas were: Area 16 (District 1): the parishes of Belhelvie, Newmachar and Old Machar (office at Bridge of Don). Area 17 (District 2): the parishes of Fintray, Kinellar, Dyce and Newhills (office at Bucksburn). Area 18 (District 3): the parishes of Drumoak, Echt, Peterculter and Skene (office at Aberdeen). Each district had a separate Public Assistance Officer. |
