Administrative History | A Special Drainage District for New Aberdour was discussed first in 1935, but formed in 1937.
Two years later, a Special Scavenging District was formed, and in 1946 the local ratepayers requisitioned and received a Special Lighting District. Both followed the same boundaries as the Drainage District.
In 1947, a separate Special Water Supply District was rejected by the County Council, though the Drainage District seems to have had water supply functions.
The Special Scavenging District was adopted into the county system in 1949, and the drainage and lighting functions followed in 1968. |
