| Administrative History | Blackbuyrn Special Water Supply District was set up in 1938, quickly followed by Lighting, Drainage and Scavenging Districts in the same year. All the districts were expanded in 1947.
The Scavenging District was adopted into the county scheme in 1949, followed by the Lighting and Drainage Districts in 1968. |
