Administrative History | Lumsden Special Water Supply District, in the parish of Auchendoir, was formed in 1896 as the village was previously dependent on one well. Aberdeen County Council loaned £383 to the Special District to build a new reservoir. A Special Drainage District was formed in 1933, and enlarged in 1934, before being adopted into the county system in 1968. Existing Special Scavenging and Lighting Districts were adopted into the county in 1949 and 1968 respectively. |
