Decision to appoint annually a Local Pension Committee (BCC minutes, 8/9/08) which had the power to appoint sub-committees to determine claims. [Banffshire appears to have appointed district sub-committees - the only surviving record is for the 2nd district which appears to cover the Forglen, Marnoch, Inverkeithny, Ordiquhill area]
Public Assistance Committee was established in 1930. It was renamed as Banff Council Social Welfare Committee in Sept 1943. |
