Administrative History | Fordoun Special Lighting District was requisitioned by local ratepayers in 1945 and was set up the following year, with a loan of £90 for 9 lamps. A Special Drainage District was mooted in 1946 under the terms of the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act, 1944. It was finally proposed by the Local Committee on Public Health in 1949 and approved. In 1947, the Committee also proposed a Special Scavenging District in connexion with the new county refuse scheme. It was dissolved on 16 May 1961, for the area to be included in the County scheme. |
