Administrative History | A Special Drainage District and Special Water Supply District were both recommended for Luthermuir, in Marykirk parish, in 1935. In 1947 a Special Scavenging District was proposed by the Local Committee on Public Health, in connexion with the new county refuse scheme. A Special Drainage District was again proposed by the Local Committee for Public Health in 1949, and approved, according to a scheme already considered in 1946 under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act, 1944. A Special Lighting District was proposed in 1960, based on the boundaries of the Special Drainage District and Special Scavenging District, and was approved in 1961. The Special Scavenging District was dissolved on 16 May 1961, for the area to be included in the new County refuse scheme. |
