| Administrative History | The District of Lower Deeside comprised the parishes of Maryculter, Nigg, and part of Banchory-Devenick. All three were taken into Deeside Special Scavenging District in 1959, and any smaller Special Scavenging Districts in the parishes were dissolved, with the exception of Cove Bay. Deeside Special Scavenging District was dissolved in 1961 as the services were taken over by the new County refuse scheme. |
