Administrative History | Upper Deeside District comprised the parishes of Banchory-Ternan, Strachan, Durris, and part of Drumoak. Deeside Special Scavenging District, set up in 1959, took over refuse services in Banchory-Ternan, Strachan, and Durris, except for the existing Silverbank Special Scavenging District. Deeside Special Scavenging District was itself dissolved to make way for the County refuse scheme in 1961. |
