The Council resolved to present a loyal and congratulatory address to His Majesty on the late brilliant victory off Trafalgar, obtained by the fleet under the command of Lord Viscount Nelson, over the French and Spanish combined fleets; and on the other important successes achieved under the command of Sir Robert Calder and Sir Richard Strachan. [Address engrossed.] The Council requested the Provost to send the address to Mr Farquhar, the Town's Member of Parliament, to be presented by him to the King. (220r - 221r)

The Council approved the suggestion from Secretary of the Committee for Managing the Patriotic Fund at Lloyds, recommending that a subscription be started, and that collections be made at church doors at the General Thanksgiving, for the relief of the widows and orphans of those who died in the late glorious victories over the enemies' fleets. The Council authorised the Provost to subscribe 100 guineas to the Fund, on behalf of the Council. (221r - 221v)

The Council authorised the Dean of Guild to arrange the public roup of a one year lease of the sale shops and pillars in the Flesh Market. (221v)
