The Council requested the Provost to acknowledge receipt of the letter from Alexander Allardyce Esq, Member of Parliament for Aberdeen, in which he solicited the support of the Council in a General Election. Further consideration of the letter was delayed owing to the absence of many members of the Council. (28v - 29r)

The Council authorised the magistrates to purchase from the creditors or trustees of the late Peter Dun, ale seller at Footdee, two small houses on the east side of the Pocra Road, for the improvements to the harbour. (29r)

The Council empowered the Treasurer to grant a Discharge of the yearly feu duty of £4 to Mr Thomas Bannerman and Alexander Young for the third and fourth stances on the east side of Marischal Street below the bridge, which they purchased at Martinmas 1800. (29r)
The Council remitted to a committee of the magistrates, or any three of them, to meet with John Joss, miller at the Malt Mill, John Ross, Tacksman of the Bell and Petty Customs, and Duncan Davidson, advocate in Aberdeen, to consider a settlement to the dispute on whether customs were due on malt made and ground in the town of Aberdeen. The Council refused the petition of the Union Whale Fishing Company (signed by George Hogarth junior, Alexander Fraser, John Jameson, James Thomson junior, George Mole and Richard Jamson) requesting use of the houses in the Links lately occupied by Francis Leys and Company. Refused in accordance with the Act of Council of 28 October 1800. (29v)

The Council empowered the Dean of Guild or the Master of Hospital to pay £5 out of any of the Guildry funds, to James Black, churchwarden, as an interim payment to him and his family. (29v)
