The Council remitted to the magistrates, the Dean of Guild and the Treasurer, or any three of them, to consult with Baillie William Ritchie and James Glennie, merchant, in connection with the application and plan submitted by Baillie Ritchie for the purchase of the English School in Drum's Hospital Close, and the erection of another school house in its place. The Council admitted Thomas Arbuthnot, merchant in Peterhead, Alexander Hall, James Buchan and James Neilson as Burgesses of Guild. (4v) |
