The Council fixed 9 July 1802 for a meeting to elect their delegate to go to Brechin on 30 July 1802 in order to elect a Burgess as member of Parliament for the district of burghs of Aberdeen, Montrose, Brechin, Aberbrothock and Inverbervie. (88v - 89r)
The Council appointed James Hadden Esq, merchant and present Provost of Aberdeen, to be their Commissioner to the General Convention of Royal Burghs to be held in Edinburgh on 13 July 1802. Also appointed Charles Farquharson Esq, merchant and one of the present Baillies of Aberdeen, to be his Assessor. (89r - 89v) |
