| Description | Council meeting, 30 August 1800 [Sederunt given]
The Council authorised Mr Thomson, present Treasurer of Aberdeen, to subscribe £20,000 to the New Streets Trustees, of which £15,000 to be used, as already resolved, for the formation of the South street and £5,000 for the North street. (11r - 11v) The Council granted the application of William Raitt, merchant in Aberdeen, to erect a headstone on his late wife's grave in the Churchyard [St Nicholas Churchyard], on payment of £5 2 shillings to the Master of Kirk and Bridge Works, as the proposed headstone would be much larger than those ordinarily erected. (11v)
