The Council approved the report of the committee appointed to consider the disposal of the Treasurer's lease of part of the Lands and Barony of Muchals, which recommended that the Council accept the offer made by Mr Silver, proprietor of the Lands of Muchals, to purchase the lease for £3,500. The Council authorised the Treasurer to conclude the transaction, subject to the Treasurer receiving the rents for crop 1805; to Mr Silver confirming the leases or tacks of James Troup, William Mollison, Alexander Masson, Robert Lyon, Alexander Gerard and Christian Walker; and to certain other specified conditions.
