The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1800 to 1801: Provost George More, Baillie Peter Duguid, James Masson, Thomas Black, George Sim, Alexander Brebner, James Mackie, Gavin Hadden, Alexander Fraser, Robert Tower, George Thomson, Walter Sime and John Donald junior, all merchants in Aberdeen. (14r - 14v) The Council elected Deacon George Smith, glazier, and Deacon George Henderson, baker, to be Trades councillors. (14v) The Councils (and George Christie, Burgess of Guild of Aberdeen, as Assistant) elected the following office bearers for the year 1800 to 1801: Provost John Dingwall - Provost William Shepherd - Eldest Baillie Peter Duguid - Second Baillie William Lumsden - Third Baillie Walter Sime - Youngest Baillie George Sim - Dean of Guild George Thomson - Treasurer Alexander Fraser - Shoremaster James Mackie - Master of Kirk and Bridge Works John Donald junior - Master of Mortifications Robert Tower - Master of Guild Brethren's Hospital (14v - 15r)
The Council elected Provost John Dingwall, Baillie Peter Duguid and Baillie William Lumsden to be Keepers of the Keys of the Town's Charter Chest for the year 1800 to 1801. The Council also elected the Provost and four Baillies, the Dean of Guild, Provost George More, Provost Thomas Leys, Mr Alexander Brebner and Mr Gavin Hadden as Commissioners of Infeftments for the year 1801 to 1802; and the two Trades councillors as Auditors of the Town's Accounts for the year 1801 to 1802.
