The Council endorsed the recommendations of the Faculty of Marischal College that James Pirie receive James Milne's bursary of £5 for a period of two years, in place of James Ross who had left the College, and that Charles Michie receive Robert Cuming's bursary of £5 for two years, in place of William Hewlet who had died. (48r)

The Council remitted to a committee of magistrates with Mr Alexander More, or any three of them, the sale by public roup on 3 March 1808, of the lease for three years of the Shore and Harbour Dues. They were also instructed to consider whether existing regulations concerning the ballast lighters need be altered. The Council also instructed the committee to sell by public roup the ground in the Links occupied by Messrs William and Robert Gibbon's ropeworks. (48r - 48v)

The Council instructed the Dean of Guild to advertise the lease of the ninth lot of land at Easter Skene, called Lochhead. (48v)

The Council remitted to a committee of magistrates, the Dean of Guild, Treasurer and Provost Brebner, or any three of them, the consideration of petitions received from certain pilots and fishers in Footdee as well as the crews of the Nancy, Jean, Ranger and Susan pilot boats of Torry requesting new houses be built for them near the North Pier. The committee was further empowered to select a suitable site, draw up plans and estimates and report back to the Council. (48v - 49r)

The Council remitted to a committee of magistrates the application from the Tacksman of the Town's Mills for a new kiln and barn to be built at the Justice Mills. (49r - 49v)

A letter was laid before the Council addressed to the Shoremaster from Mr Kennedy, advocate, clerk and manager for the Aberdeenshire Canal Company. The Council granted the request that the Shoremaster join in bonds to the Commercial Banking Company and the Banking Company in Aberdeen for the sum of £1500 to enable the Committee of Management at the Canal Company to pay off debts owed and continue with work. (49v - 50r)

The Council allocated James Bowman, Burgess of Guild, £8 aid on a temporary basis from the Town's funds and Mary Mitchell, widow of George Mitchell, druggist, £4. (50r)

The Treasurer was authorised to enter a new submission, on behalf of the absent George Storey, Shoremaster and John Rae, late Tacksman of the Shore Dues and Ballast Lighters, in order that their dispute, relative to the damage to the Henry of Sunderland, be heard by the Council. (50r - 50v)
