The Council allocated aid from the Poor's Fund to the following applicants:
Jean Philp, widow of Alexander Crombie, late merchant - £5 (from the Guild Brethren's Hospital Fund)
Margaret Craig, widow of William Craig, merchant - £4 (from the Guild Brethren's Hospital Fund)
Margaret Moir, daughter of the late John Moir, Burgess - £4 (from the Guild Brethren's Hospital Fund)
Robert Chalmers, bookbinder - £4, in addition to his pension of £8 (from the Guild Brethren's Hospital Fund)
Ann Taylor, widow of Alexander Grant, merchant - £5 (from the Guild Box)
Magdalen Cowie, widow of Charles Cowie, hosier - £6 (from the Guild Box)
Ann Smith, widow of Peter Milne, Burgess - £4 (from the Guild Box)
James Bowman, hosier - £2, in addition to his pension of £6 (from the Guild Box)
Robert Smith, merchant, for himself and his children - £4, in addition to his wife's pension of £8 (from the Guild Box)
Mrs Jean Mitchell, daughter of Baillie Mitchell - £6 (from the additional fund to the Guild Box)

The Council directed all other pensions from the Town's Funds to be continued unaltered. (125r - 125v)

The Council accepted the resignation of Mr Duncan Davidson, advocate and Agent for the Town before the Inferior Courts and appointed Mr Robert Morice, advocate and former Town's Agent, in his stead, at the usual salary of £40 Scots. (125v - 126r)

The Council authorised and empowered the Treasurer and Shoremaster to borrow such sums on 20 December 1809 as may prove necessary to pay the principal sums or interests due by them on account of the New Streets or the purchase of properties for the Harbour Improvements. (126r)
