The Council approved the draft of the submission to be entered into between the Shoremaster and the Tacksman of the Shore and Harbour Dues with respect to the renunciation of the lease and appointed James Calder, merchant in Aberdeen, as sole arbiter in the submission for determining the amount of compensation to be paid to Mr More for the surrender of the lease. (158r - 158v)

The Council remitted to the magistrates, the Dean of Guild, Treasurer and Shoremaster, or any three of them, the sale by public roup of the lease for two years and eleven months from 1 August 1810 of the Shore and Harbour Dues and empowered the Shoremaster to employ someone to collect the new rates and duties imposed by the Harbour Act from 1 July to 1 August 1810.
