The Council agreed to receive £1,000 from Miss Catharine Findlay, residing in Aberdeen, in return for the payment of an annuity of £85 during her lifetime. (2v)

The Council recommended that the two acres at the Point of Shortness, chosen on behalf of the Board of Ordnance by Captain Oldfield, Officer of the Royal Engineers, and Mr Gibb, Superintendent of Harbour Improvements, as the best site for the erection of a battery, should be transferred to the Government for the annual rent or feu duty of £10 per acre. The Council remitted to the standing committee to consider any other conditions with the Board of Ordnance. (2v - 3v)

The Council resolved to petition both Houses of Parliament against the proposed alteration in the Corn Laws. (3v)

The Council elected James Young Esq, present Provost of Aberdeen, to be their Commissioner to the Convention of Royal Burghs to be held in Edinburgh on 13 July 1813, and elected Baillie Robert Garden to be his Assessor. (3v)

The Council accepted the Act of Parliament, passed in the present session, for the further improvement of the Harbour of Aberdeen, enabling the Harbour Trustees to appropriate certain ground belonging to the Treasurer for the improvement of the Harbour, and enabling the Treasurer and the Harbour Trustees, as joint proprietors, to dispose of ground in and about the village of Footdee for the benefit of the Treasury and Harbour. The Council agreed to receive £80 from Isobel Stronach, residing in Aberdeen, aged 72, in return for the payment of an annuity of £10 during her lifetime. (4r)
