The Council resolved to present a loyal and dutiful address to the King on the melancholy demise of King George III, and congratulating him on his accession to the throne. [Address engrossed.] The Council directed the Provost to sign the address, and to transmit it to Lord Sidmouth, principal Secretary of State, for him to present it to the King. (222r - 223v)

The Council awarded the following bursaries at Marischall College on the recommendation of the Faculty. Charles McPherson, student in the tertian class, was awarded one of Sir Thomas Crombie's bursary of £8 for one year, in place of William Spence, who had left the College. Charles Croll, student in the tertian class, was awarded one of Sir Thomas Crombie's bursaries of £8 for two years, in place of John Bothwell, student in the semi class, who had died. George Bruce, student in the semi class, was awarded one of Catharine Rolland's bursaries for two years, in place of William Melville, who was in the tertian class. George Carchray, student in the semi class, was awarded one of Mr James Cargill's bursaries for one year, in place of John Sim, student in the magistrand class, who had died. Robert Machray, student in the semi class, was awarded Milne's bursary for one year, in place of William Esson, student in the tertian class. (223v)
