The Council appointed the Taxers and Stent Masters: John Collison and Robert Brown, two of the present Baillies; Alexander Duthie junior, Dean of Guild, William Johnston, Treasurer, James Brebner, late Treasurer, George Thomson, John Whyte, William Catto, Robert Catto, John Young, Robert Duthie, Alexander Duncan, John Lumsden, Robert Walker, James Mowat, George Pirie, James Lamond and Alexander Galen, merchants; James Blaikie and Charles Chalmers, advocates; Convener William Milne, glazier, and Convener Alexander Thomson, cooper, the two Trades councillors. The Council directed the Taxers and Stent Masters to raise the following sums: £526 10 shillings for the King's Subsidy for the year Martinmas 1819 to Martinmas 1820; plus £171 19 shillings 0 pence 10/12 deficit on the Treasurer's account, which included Missive Dues to the Convention of Royal Burghs for 1820, the expenses incurred by the Commissioners to the Convention in July 1820, and £16 19 shillings 9 pence for repairing windows broken by rioters on the eve of King George IV's birthday in April 1820. The Council directed the whole taxation to be paid to William Johnston, Treasurer. (234v - 235r)

The Council appointed the following as Assessors to Alexander Duthie junior, Dean of Guild, for the year ending Michaelmas 1821: Baillie Alexander Brown, Baillie James Milne, Messrs Alexander Galen, John Young, James Brebner, George Thomson, James Hadden, William Johnston, Alexander Duncan, Alexander Low, George Storey and Robert Duthie, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council approved the recommendations of the committee that lairs in the new burial ground on the north side of Union Street should be sold at £15 for a double lair, and £8 for a single lair; and that the owner should be obliged to pay dues to the Master of Kirk and Bridge Works for each interment.
