| Description | Council meeting, 9 August 1813 [Sederunt given] The Council resolved that the practice of selling English coal by weight, which had encouraged the import of inferior coal, should be abolished after 13 September 1813, and that coal should be sold by measure only. The Council approved the Act of the Dean of Guild Court of 9 August 1813 which established fifty two Aberdeen pints as the standard firlot for the sale of English coal. (4v - 5r) |
