The Council appointed Hugh Lumsden Esq of Pitcaple, advocate, Ruling Elder, to be their Commissioner to the next General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, to be held in Edinburgh on 19 May 1814, being satisfied of his qualifications for the commission. (27v - 28r)

The Council agreed to pay [no sum stated] out of several funds for the relief of the poor, to the Managers of the Poor's Hospital for the year ending Candlemas 1815. The Council elected the following gentlemen to be Managers of the Poor's Hospital: the Provost, magistrates and other members of the Town Council; Baillies Robert Garden, William Shepherd and Charles Walker; Doctors Livingstone, Ogilvie, Moir and Dyce; Mr Niven of Thorntone; Mr Martin of Nellfield; Messrs Thomas Bannerman and William Smith, merchants; Professor Glenny; Dr Dauney; Mr Carnegie, Town Clerk; Messrs John Ross and John Knott, Teachers of Music and Convener Douglas. The Council approved the sale by public roup of a piece of ground lying on the north-west side of a road to be constructed in a north-easterly direction from the Pocra or Footdee Road, near the Blockshop occupied by Alexander Mackie, to William Stephen, shipbuilder, for the upset yearly feu duty of £21 commencing Martinmas 1815.
