The Council admitted the following to bursaries of four years duration at Marischall College. Alexander Yeats, son of William Yeats, Custom House officer in Aberdeen; Robert Barclay Duncan, son of the deceased William Duncan, sometime one of the Masters of the Grammar School; James Brown, son of John Brown, gardener at Netherdale; and William Stratton, son of Charles Stratton, farmer at Balmakelly, Parish of Marykirk; each awarded one of Sir Thomas Crombie's bursaries of £8. Alexander Hall, son of Alexander Hall, shipbuilder in Aberdeen and Burgess of Guild, awarded one of Catharine Rolland's bursaries of £8. James Mackie, son of George Mackie, wright in Aberdeen, awarded one of Mr William Lorimer's bursaries of £5. Arthur Dingwall, son of Alexander Dingwall, Postmaster and Burgess of Guild, awarded one of Catharine Rolland's bursaries of £8. John Duncan, son of Francis Duncan, wood merchant in Aberdeen, awarded one of Dr Duncan Liddel's bursaries of £5. (44v - 45r)

The Council appointed the Taxers and Stent Masters: John Donald and Charles Walker, two of the present Baillies; George Thomson, Dean of Guild, Alexander Simpson, Treasurer, William Johnston, late Treasurer, Alexander Brown, Alexander Duncan, Alexander Fraser, David Chalmers, George Storey, William Leslie, George Innes, William Joss, William Davidson, James Brebner, Robert Duthie, James Duguid, John Symon, John Collison, William Catto and Robert Catto, merchants; David Hutcheon and James Blaikie, advocates; William Fyfe and William Livie, the two Trades councillors. The Council directed the Taxers and Stent Masters to raise the following sums: £526 10 shillings for the King's Subsidy for the year Martinmas 1813 to Martinmas 1814; minus the £45 5 shillings 3 pence balance in the hands of the Treasurer from the previous year.
