The Council empowered the Provost to write to Members of Parliament to enlist their support for measures to encourage and protect the depressed whale fishing trade, as the trade was important for the prosperity of the City. (67r)

The Council approved the report of the committee which had arranged the sale of the Lands and Barony of Easter Skene by public roup on 11 May 1816. The committee recommended that, if the Lands were not sold in cumulo, they should be divided into lots for sale. The Council directed the committee to frame the articles of roup. (67r - 67v)

The Council approved the sale of a three-year lease of the Bell and Petty Customs to William White, merchant in Aberdeen, on behalf of George Henderson, miller in Aberdeen, for £354, with the said William White and John Rae, merchant in Aberdeen, as cautioners. (67v)

The Council approved the sale of a three-year lease of a piece of ground occupied as a shipbuilding yard by Mr James Adamson, to Alexander Cadenhead, advocate in Aberdeen, for £80. (67v - 68r)

The Council awarded the following bursaries at Marischall College on the recommendation of the Faculty. James Smith, student in the bajan class at Marischall College, was awarded to Reid's bursary of £6 for one year, in place of John McLean, who had left the College. James Anderson, student in the tertian class, awarded to one of Dr Duncan Liddel's bursaries of £5 for two years, in place of Alexander Chalmers, who had left the College. (68r)

The Council resolved to meet on 28 March 1816 to elect a Commissioner to attend the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland on 16 May 1816. (68r)
