The Council granted the application from Mr William Kennedy, advocate, on behalf of the committee of the Canal Company, requesting permission to construct railways across the quays near to the Lime Sheds, to provide the lime traders with access to the canal. Permission was granted on condition that the work was carried out to the satisfaction of Mr Gibb, resident engineer, and that the Council reserved to right to order the removal of the railways at any time. (69v)

The Council approved the committee's proposal to sell the Lands and Barony of Easter Skene on 1 June 1816 in different lots, having received no offers for the whole Lands at the public roup that day. (69v - 70r)

The Council approved the lease of the Mill of Buxburn to John Simpson, residing at Buxburn, for three years, for £50 yearly rent, with Peter Simpson, present tenant, as cautioner. (70r)

The Council resolved to present an address to the Prince Regent on the recent auspicious marriage of Princess Charlotte of Wales to the Prince of Saxe-Cobourg. [Address engrossed.] The Council directed the Provost to sign the address, and to transmit it to James Farquhar Esq, Member of Parliament, for him to present it to the Prince Regent. (70r - 71r)

The Council approved the Provost's report that the Treasurer had borrowed the following sums of money on the Town's account and for the public purposes of the community, and had granted bonds to the following persons, for payment with five per cent interest.
