The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1813 to 1814: John Donald, John Young, Alexander Galen, William Johnston, Alexander Hadden, James Hadden junior, James Dyce, William Joss, George Storey, James Duguid, Robert Duthie, John Whyte and William Davidson, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to be members of the new Council: Provost James Young, Baillie Alexander Duncan, Baillie Alexander Brown and James Hadden Esq. (8v)
The Council elected Deacon William Gardener, shoemaker, and Deacon William Nicol, tailor, to be Trades councillors. (8v)
The Council (and Patrick Barron, William Cruickshank, James Bowman and William Mortimer, Burgesses of Guild, as Assistants) elected the following office bearers for the year 1813 to 1814:

The Council elected Provost James Hadden, Baillie John Donald and Baillie Alexander Duncan to be Keepers of the Keys of the Town's Charter Chest for the year 1813 to 1814. (9r)
The Council elected the Provost and the four Baillies, the Dean of Guild, James Young, John Young, James Dyce and William Joss as Commissioners of Infeftments for the year 1813 to 1814; and the two Trades councillors as Auditors of the Town's Accounts. (9r) |
