The Council remitted to the Standing Committee consideration of schemes for procuring a supply of money to defray the expenses of the burgh, as the Trustees for the creditors of the Treasury had decided they were not entitled to offer an opinion at their meeting on 24 July 1817. The Council considered the extract decreet of absolvitor in favour of the magistrates and Council against the Kirk Session of Aberdeen establishing the Council's right to appoint the Keeper of the Register of Baptisms, and to act as custodian of the Register. The Council recommended to the magistrates to request the clergy of every denomination in the City to lodge with Mr Falconer, Keeper of the Register of Baptisms, lists of all baptisms within the parish since the Kirk Session's interference, in order to complete the chasm in the Register. The Provost reported that no offers had been received at a public roup of the two pieces of ground forming part of the Glebe of Footdee, held in accordance with the Act of Council of 3 July 1817. (133r)

The Council fixed 12 August 1817 to perambulate the Town's Inner Marches or Royalty Marches. (133r)
