Baillie Milne reported that their Committee had received offers for various properties in Union Street and King Street [measurements given] and that the same had been advertised in the Aberdeen Journal for sale by public roup in way of feu on 7 June 1828:
First, a stance on the south side of Union Street, immediately east of the property belonging to Sir Alexander Bannerman and extending backwards to the Hardgate, at 8 shillings feu duty per foot of front.
Second, the stance on the south side of Union Street, west of the boundary of Mr Alexander Copland's feu and extending back to the Hardgate or Windmillbrae, at 7 shillings 6 pence feu duty per foot of front.
Third, the angular piece of ground lying on the west side of King Street, between the feus of Messrs Robert Torrie and Thomas Elmslie, extending back to the property formerly belonging to Mrs Duffus, at £5 10 shillings feu duty.
Fourth, the stance on the west side of Union Terrace between Mr Gilmore's Chapel and ground belonging to the Hammerman Incorporation at the following rate of feu duty; that part on which the vestry stands at 2 shillings 6 pence per foot of front; the remainder, extending to the ground of the Hammermen, at 4 shillings per foot of front.
Fifth, the stance also on the west side of Union Terrace, from the Hammermen's ground north to the property at Skene Terrace belonging to Robert Jaffrey, shoemaker, at 2 shillings feu duty per foot of front.
