The Council resolved to transmit a vote of thanks to the Right Honourable Thomas Wallace, late Vice-President of the Board of Trade, for the great ability and attention displayed in the discharge of the duties of his late office. (29r)
Hugh Lumsden Esq of Pitcaple, advocate and Ruling Elder, was elected to represent the City of Aberdeen as its Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in Edinburgh on 22 May 1823. (29r - 29v)
The Council agreed a donation of [no sum given] to the Managers of the Poor's Hospital and elected the following directors for the year ending Candlemas 1824; the Provost, magistrates and other members of the Town Council; Messrs Charles Walker, Robert Garden, William Davidson, James Milne, William Stratton, David Chalmers, the Rev Mr Tawse, Mr Carnegie, Town Clerk, Mr Hardie, Drs Dyce and Davidson and Mr George Anderson, tailor.
