James Grant, advocate in Aberdeen, was appointed to continue in the office of Collector of Taxation for the City of Aberdeen for the year 1823 to 1824 with an allowance of £50 for the expense of collecting and risk of bad debt. Sureties were offered by John Ramsay Esq of Barra and Francis Gordon Esq of Kincardine. (30r - 31r)
The Provost laid before Council the answer received from the Right Honourable Thomas Wallace, late Vice-President of the Board of Trade, in reply to the Council's recent vote of thanks [reply engrossed]. (31r - 31v)
