The whole members of Council
The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1823 to 1824: Robert Walker, William Lumsden, James Milne, Alexander Galen, Alexander Hadden, William Mackie, Alexander Duguid, James Brebner, James Lamond, Robert Duthie, John Whyte, William Brown and Andrew Duncan, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to serve on the new Council: Provost Alexander Brown, Baillie Robert Brown, Baillie Alexander Duthie and Mr Gavin Hadden. (36r)
The Council elected Deacons William Smith, glazier and James Cobban, wright, to be Trades councillors. (36r)
The old and new Council, with the Convener and Deacons of Crafts (except William Brown, William Lumsden and Alexander Hadden of the new Council in place of whom the Council elected William Selbie, David Thom and George Henderson, Burgesses of Guild, as assistants), elected the following office bearers for the year 1823 to 1824:
Alexander Brown - Provost
James Milne - Eldest Baillie
Robert Brown - Second Baillie
Alexander Duthie junior - Third Baillie
James Brebner - Youngest Baillie
Robert Duthie - Dean of Guild
John Whyte - Treasurer
James Lamond - Master of Shoreworks
Andrew Duncan - Master of Kirk and Bridge Works
William Mackie - Master of Mortifications
Alexander Duguid - Master of the Guild Brethren's Hospital

The Council elected the said Provost Alexander Brown, Baillies Robert Brown and Alexander Duthie junior to be Keepers of the Keys of the Town's Charter Chest for the year 1823 to 1824. (36v)
The Council elected for the year 1823 to 1824 the Provost, four Baillies, Dean of Guild, Mr Gavin Hadden, Mr Alexander Galen, Mr William Lumsden and Mr Robert Walker to be Commissioners of Infeftments; and the same gentlemen with the two Trades councillors to be Auditors of the Town's Accounts.
