Hugh Lumsden Esq of Pitcaple, advocate and Ruling Elder, was elected to represent the City of Aberdeen as its Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in Edinburgh on 18 May 1826. (136r - 136v)
The Council heard an application to the Treasurer from Mr David Hutcheon, advocate in Aberdeen, proposing to divide the feu duty of his two houses on the south side of Union Street and Shiprow. The Council approved the application and agreed to restrict the feu duty payable upon the westmost house on the south side of the said street to £80 in terms of his application. (137r - 137v)
The Council remitted to the Standing Committee the sale by public roup of the leases for three years of the Town's Mills and Weigh House and Pack House Dues. (137v)
Following several communications from the Police Board respecting the nauseous state of the Town's Loch and the need to contract it, the Council resolved to consult Mr Hughes, engineer, on the Board's plan, especially regarding whether it would be prejudicial to the Town's Mills. (137v - 138r)
