| Description | COUNCIL REGISTER, VOLUME 71, FOLIOS 153r - 155v Council meeting, 16 June 1826 [Sederunt given] An offer was laid before the Council for a feu of a lot of ground on the south side of Union Street, immediately west of the Bridge at Correction Wynd, for £95 yearly feu duty, [measurements given]. Which having been read out, the Council resolved to advertise the sale by public roup of the said ground at the aforementioned feu duty. (153r - 153v) The Treasurer's acceptance to the Dean of Guild was renewed for the principal sum due to him in terms of the Act of Council 18 May 1824, the acceptance to be lodged with the Aberdeen Banking Company. (153v - 154r) The Provost reported that the Treasurer had borrowed on 20 December 1826 the following sums of money on the Town's account for the purpose of paying off sundry Treasury Creditors who had demanded the principal sums due to them. (155r - 155v) The Provost laid before the Council a letter from the Rev Mr Andrew Tawse, Preacher in the College Church, intimating his intention to resign his position on account of being admitted to the charge of the Parish of Coldstone, which the Council accepted.
