Description"Letters of Reprisal from David II narrating that it had been made known to his Council, held at Dundee on the 12th November, that the Merchants of his Kingdom, and their Servants, and also all Scotchmen of every rank, with their whole goods and Merchandise in Flanders, had been exiled and banished from Flemish intercourse (of which banishment he was ignorant); therefore putting all Flemings, Sailors excepted, in the same condition in Scotland; and giving warrant to apprehend them accordingly and to Arrest their goods until said Arrest upon his subjects in Flanders were removed.
Said Letters are dated in said Council at Dundee 12th November 1347)
