Description | "Charter by James III freeing, by advice and deliberation of his Council, his beloved and faithful Provost, Baillies, Council and Community of his Burgh of Abirdene, for their gratuitous Service done him, of all payment of Custom upon Salmon of the said Burgh, taken from the Waters of Done and Dee, belonging to the said frree Burgesses, excepting always the Customs due upon Salmon by Extraneans and the King's Lieges who do not possess the liberty of the said Burgh: to be held "in feodo et hereditate imperpetuum".
