Description | "Charter by Robert I granting to the Burgesses and Community of his Burgh of Abirdem the Charge and Custody of his whole Forest of Le Stoket with the pertinents; to be held by the said Burgh, Burgesses and Community, with all the privileges etc. thereto belonging, excepting only the green wood and Hunting; granting also to the said Burgh, Burgesses and Community, of the same, and their heirs and successors, that no Justiciary of his Forests nor any other person in his Kingdom of whatever Condition or Rank, shall interfere regarding defaults in the said Forest, save the King himself, and his Chamberlain.
