Description"Charter by James VI granting to the Provost, Baillies, Council and Community of Aberdeen, for the support of a Hospital for the poor, Gymnasia and other pious uses, all the properties of the Preaching or of the White Friars, lying within the Burgh and its liberty, which had fallen to the Crown, videlicet, the Yard Croft, the Sow Croft beside the Denburn, the Craigwell Croft, Three Rigs at the Crabstone, the Croft of Cun[n]ingarhills, the Croft of Fill-the Cap [Filthy Coppis], Two Rigs lying in the Fluris [Floors], Barbour's Croft, a Rig at the Rabbit Warren of Aberdeen, a Rig in Futty [Footdee] beside the Trinity Burn, a Rig at the Gallowgatehead; Also the whole Crofts etc belonging to the Fratres Albi, or White Friars of Aberdeen, videlicet the Ducat Croft, Langlands Croft, Pynournook [Poynernook] Croft, Lady Croft, the Cuttings, the Eight Roods; all the Properties of the saids Friars within the Shire and all Properties within the Town and liberty belonging to any other Ecclesiastical Bodies whatever.
Said Charter is dated at Stirling, 26th October 1583."
