Title	Petition of William Duncan to the Town Council of Aberdeen
Description	Petition of William Duncan, writing master to the Town Council of Aberdeen. Would like the council to accept Mr James Leiper's (the master of the town's public writing school) proposal that the petitioner be Mr Leiper's assistant and successor. 21st January 1775. Also contains a letter from James Leiper recommending the appointment of William Duncan dated 9th January 1775 and a report to the council on William Duncans teaching qualifications, 3rd February 1775.
