DescriptionPetition of George, Earl of Errol, George Turner of Meny, Mr. Honnyman of Berryhill, John Ferguson Cooper in Aberdeen, Alexander Wishart in Sandend and Alexander Reid of Aberdeen, to allow barrels of salmon caught, salted, cured, and packed of their fishings in the sea north of the rivers Dee and Don to be marked with the town of Aberdeen's stamp for export after Dean of Guild inspection, with Petition to Alexander Roberston, Lord Provost of Aberdeen, requesting that the petitioners be granted special permission to use the town's mark to identify their salmon for export, even though they are not of the designated areas of the town's fisheries.

Bundle includes appended Memorial for the Heritors of the Fishings on the Dee and the Don with advice and precedence against using the town's mark or burning iron to identify the salmon of the Earl of Errol as of the Aberdeen salmon.
