The photographs were in an DC Thomson photograph envelope and addressed to James Taylor, Esq., Rosehearty. In the top right corner of the envelope is written "Germaio de Falco, Piazza Villanio, Emanuele 13, Alimieniq, Somma Vesuviana, Nafah [Naples?], Italy" with an annotation below in a different hand "Italian P.O.W. held at Stuartfield 1943" and "Photographs to Ian". This envelope contains photos and postcards from exotic (Egypt, Suez Canal, Pacific Islands) and local (Rosehearty bowling Green, hotel belonging to ‘mother Henderson’) and personal pictures.
Envelope also contains 1918 Scottish Masonic Historical Directory (with Frank Tocher 1917-1918 written on flyleaf) and McGlennon's Community Chorus Book. |
