Administrative HistoryAlso known as Tinny Robertsons. The business was established by tinsmith John Robertson (1864 - 1935) in 1895 at 37 Shuttle Lane before moving to 10 Consitution Street c. 1899 and then 4 Roslin Place c.1911.
The business manufactured tin cans and boxes, supplying customers that included Walkers Biscuits and Harrods.
In 1935 the business was sold to John C. King and George E. Charles. In the early 1990s the business was sold to Bon Accord Realisations, who sold the Roslin Place site for development. A management team buyout took over the operating business in 1993, and operations were moved to Tullos. The business was then sold to Nevis in 1994, and went into receivership in 1995.
