Administrative History | John Morgan (1844-1907) was a building contractor and master mason, responsible for a number of notable buildings in Aberdeen, including the frontage to Marischal College, the Central Library and the Northern Insurance Building. He also served as a councillor from 1885-1892. He lived at Rubsilaw House, 50 Queen's Road, a notable building designed by John Bridgeford Pirie in conjunction with Morgan and built by Morgan c. 1886. He was also a notable book collector. |
