DescriptionContract ended between Mr Thomas Gordon, Professor of Humanity and Common Procurator of Kings College, with Mr John Foulerton of Thornton and Whinnyhaugh in Kincardineshire. The contract had lasted 19 years, starting in 1768 and based on a decree of valuation obtained before the Lords of Council and Session in 1756. The document appears to lay out all the original terms and witnesses. Foulerton had been bound to yearly payments of bolls of meat and bear to the minister of Marykirk relating to the teinds of his lands. Sums of money are also mentioned as payments or penalties.
