Title	Garden of Troup: The Farm of Whitecairn in Rathen
Description	The unsigned note gives particulars on this farm, being the only one Lord Gardenston has in the parish of Rathen. It was entirely separated from the rest of the Rathen lands by the farms of Cairnglass and Cairnes owned by Mr Gordon of Buthlaw. A Mr Moir had originally bought the land from the late Lord Saltoun, and Lord Gardenston purchased it from him. The present Lord Saltoun was interested in re-acquiring the farm.
